Storing Your Jewelry

Diamond enhancements such as irradiation should always be disclosed to the consumer. A buyer should assume that any fancy color diamond that is affordable has been treated in some way. If you have any question about a stone's origins, you should ask for a lab certificate to verify its authenticity.

The Gold Ring
The origin of the Episcopal ring can be traced back to the golden ring worn by ancient pagan priests, or flamens consecrated to the worship of Jupiter. The senators as well had the privilege of wearing a gold ring. It would not be surprising to discover that Christian bishops wore gold rings in the fourth century, but the evidence for this is not clear. However, it is undeniable that Pope Boniface IV issued a decree in 610 requiring monks elevated to the Episcopal dignity to wear the ring.
